Which Editions Included It (Unresolved Conflict)

Sources disagree on whether the Revered Edition granted early access, and the question remains unresolved. The two positions:

• Devout only: Steam official news ties the three-day early window to the Devout Edition. G2A News: "The Devout Edition includes up to 72 hours of early access. Devout Edition owners can start playing from August 17, 2026." LDShop lists "Up to 72 hours of Advanced Access" under Devout and says the Revered Edition launches alongside the full game on August 20, 2026.
• Devout or Revered: Game8's release-time page states: "Starting August 17, 2026, advanced access to Mortal Shell 2 is now available for players who pre-ordered the Devout or Revered Edition of the game."
• Revered, no early access: Game Rant writes that the Revered Edition "launches on August 20 alongside the standard release rather than providing the three-day advanced access."

G2A News' announcement also separates the editions — "the digital Devout Edition with early access, and the physical Revered Edition for collectors" — attaching early access only to Devout.

The official Mortal Shell II site does not mention early access in its Revered Edition section. In the collected sources, the only advance-access gameplay footage found is a stream titled "Advanced Access! Mortal Shell II Devout Edition", published August 17, 2026 — no Revered Edition early-access footage was found.
