Is Mortal Shell II available on Xbox?

Current status

Following its Advance Access launch on Steam, Mortal Shell II is now available digitally worldwide on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.

The official announcement (August 20, 2026) confirms Xbox as a release platform. The Xbox version is optimized for Xbox Series X|S; no Xbox One version is mentioned anywhere in the research materials. The free open beta (live on Xbox from July 31, 2026) and the Devout Edition pre-order window are both over.

Xbox price and editions

On the Xbox store, the Devout Edition is listed as a bundle of the base game ($49.99+) plus the Devout Edition Upgrade ($10.99). Per the official listing, "Mortal Shell II: Devout Edition features the base game as well as an exclusive Obsidian skin set for all eight playable Shells." Pricing matches the PS5 and Steam stores.

Mortal Shell II is a standalone sequel to Mortal Shell that significantly expands on the original with faster and unforgiving combat, deeper weapon design with extensive upgrade options, and an emphasis on free exploration within a compact open-world.

The corpses of exceptional warriors are scattered throughout Mortal Shell II's destroyed world. Once discovered, each warrior can be possessed, awakening their innate strengths and mastered abilities.

Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support are also not declared on the cached Xbox store pages, so both remain unconfirmed.
